Layout Reel

Created the Rough Layout and Previs for each shot in the above opening sequence. The boards worked pretty well as a template for most of the shots, but some of the more dynamic shots, were figured out in 3D. The final cameras reflect a significant amount the rough layout cameras. I'd put those images up, but the movie hasn't come out yet.



This entire short's rough layout was done, by myself another layout artist. I took care of all of the "inside the core of the earth" shots plus all of the earth shots except, Australia and Scrat flying up out of the earth. I also blocked out the Easter Island shot, the Mt. ScratMore Shot, the African Giraffe shot and the traveling crack shots. The hardest two shots to layout were these crack shots that go from the surface of the earth to outer space.



This project was alot of fun, I prevised out several versions of the new 75hth anniversary logo, this is the one Fox ended up going with. A significant part of the assignment was to figure out a way that we could keep the timing of the old logo but fit 75 years into the new logo.

Here is my last complete reel from a little while back. I'm working on a more current reel but am waiting for the release of "Rio" in April to get it all together.
